Compress PDF to a Custom Size

Free, private, in-browser. No upload, no sign-up, no watermark.

Target size

Enter the maximum size your upload allows.

Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Sometimes the upload limit you are facing is not a tidy 100KB or 1MB — a portal might demand 250KB, 750KB, or some other oddly specific number. This tool lets you type that exact target in KB or MB and compresses your PDF to land just under it, entirely inside your browser so the file is never uploaded. Enter the size the form actually requires, choose KB or MB from the unit dropdown, and the compressor lowers image resolution and quality until your document fits while staying as readable as the budget allows. It is the same precise, size-targeted engine behind the fixed presets, but with the number put in your hands for those one-off requirements that the standard caps do not cover. There is no registration, no install, no daily quota, and no watermark on the result, and because everything runs on your own device, even sensitive scans like IDs, contracts, and bank statements stay completely private.

How it works

  1. Select your PDF

Choose the file you want to shrink. It loads directly in your browser.

  2. Compress in-browser

We lower image resolution and quality until it hits the target size.

  3. Download the result

Save the smaller PDF. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server.

FAQ

What sizes can I target?

Any positive size. Type a number and pick KB or MB — for example 250KB, 750KB, or 1.5MB. Very small targets may force lower image quality.

What is the difference from the fixed-size pages?

None under the hood — the same engine targets your number. The preset pages just lock a common limit; here you type whatever the form requires.

What if my PDF can not get that small?

The tool reaches the smallest readable size it can and tells you the result. If it can not go under your target, try a larger number.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Compression runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your PDF is never uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone.
